B eautiful restoration projects get to an end |
Over the years we have acquired a wide spread reputation as Aston Martin specialists. On one side I developed a network through which I could buy interesting Aston Martins, many of them needing restoration. At the other side customers were asking our specialist classic car workshop Twin Cam to restore these cars for them.
We finished last year a very sexy looking Pearl Black DB4 Series V Vantage. This spring-time 2 Aston Martins DB2/4 MKI, a Coupé and a DHC, are almost ready for delivery after a nut and bolt restoration. Interesting is that both were originally sold in the attractive colour of Moonbeam grey.
Another DB2/4 Coupé and also a DB2 Vantage Coupé are next in the row for a complete rebuild. |

Lancia is also a make we always had a weak spot for. Difficult to describe the immense pleasure to be able to admire the final result of the full restoration on a Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America. This extremely elegant spider was restored to original colour combination of cherry red and beige leather interior. We even manufactured our selves from scratch a steel hard-top for this Lancia of our own design based on the Pininfarina and Fontana ones produced in the fifties.
Amongst the pre-war classics 2 Alvis Speed 20 Tourers, 1 Vanden Plas and 1 Cross & Ellis arrived into the final stage after a full restoration by the experienced Twin Cam team.

| B arn find project. |
Every classic car enthusiast hopes to find one day somewhere in a barn a unique piece of motoring industry. Going through the excitement of a possible acquisition and hopefully being able to return that hidden treasure to her former glory.
Our classic car team has been fortunate to experience that sort of sensation on a quite regular basis. Latest barn-find was this 1947 Lancia Aprilia Pininfarina Convertible, which seems to have been a one-off produced in the immediate after war period by Pininfarina to convince potential customers of their skills.
Admit one has to be courageous to start tackling the restoration of this Aprilia, which doesn’t show, by the way she is packed on the trailer, which potentially elegant convertible she once was and soon again will be. |

V ery active classic car sales activity.
|
|
One has only to scroll down the Marreyt Classics stock list to notice at the SOLD labels that sales ware excellent during the last few months. I experience no difficulty to continue to find this combination of what enthusiasts pretend is typical for our company: a variety of charming and exotic classics.
Charming I would name the 1954 Fiat 1100 TV Pininfarina Coupé and certainly so the 1960 Morris Minor Convertible.
Exotic is for sure the superbly restored 1953 Fiat Ottovu Rapi (6-th in a row in just a couple of years time!), the stylish 1957 Lancia B24 Convertible, the ‘state of the art’ 1957 AC Ace Bristol and the imposing pre-war pair of Rolls Royce 20/25 Gurney Nutting DHC and Isotta Fraschini Typo 8 AS Castagna Landaulette.

C entenary celebrations. |
| |
 | |
We were very honoured to be invited to exhibit the Bugatti T57 Gangloff Coupé, which we, a few years ago, - you could almost say - ‘created’ and completely restored at the closure of the centenary celebrations of 100 years Bugatti at the prestigious AutoWorld museum in the centre of Brussels during the month of December 2009 and January 2010.
Also our 1947 Alfa Romeo 6C Pininfarina Convertible was invited to feature at the Alfa Romeo centenary exhibition organised by the Dutch Alfa Romeo club SCARB at the Interclassics & Topmobiel show in Maastricht during the month of January.

I n the media | |
|
During the month of December 2 non-classic-car-specialist media thought it would be a good idea to write an article about our activity. The Brussels newspaper ‘Le Soir’ published an article with title ‘Antiquaire ou Garagiste’ and the Flemish economical magazine 'Trends' interviewed me concerning the Bugatti centenary.

L et's meet! |

Maybe we saw one another at the Maastricht show in January or at the Classic Motor Show Bremen in February.
If not, no problem; come and visit us at the Techno Classica Show in Essen - Germany which runs from the 7-th until the 11-th of April. We have our stand with N°: 6.0-301 in Hall 6.
Naturally we are also at your disposition here in Aalst near Brussels, if you would like to come and visit us in our modern purpose built showroom and classic car workshop.
Till very soon, I hope.
And for now: All the best from the Brussels area,
